Our game this week will not be Ambush Alley/Force on Force! Instead, Chad is running an Early War WW2 Russian Front game using Battlefront WW2 rules. We are also bringing over my Eastern Front Battlefront WW2 stuff if we have enough people to run two games.
I love Ambush Alley/Force on Force up to the platoon level, but for company to battalion sized games, Battlefront WW2 is my favorite rules set. I have run a number of Western Desert, Normandy and Russian Front games using the rules system and continue to be amazed at how easily it handles combined arms operations and rewards realistic tactics. Like all the Fire and Fury Games, I also appreciate that you are commanding larger forces and sometimes the individual units don’t follow your orders. Game scale is one stand of infantry is roughly a squad and one vehicle/gun = 2-3 vehicle/guns.
If you haven’t played this system, I encourage you to head over to Unique Gifts and Games this Friday, May 14, at 7 PM. Chad runs an excellent game. See you there!

Everything’s set to go! Just need roads, river and a couple buildings…I’m afraid my scenery just doesn’t compare!
