Update on Campaign Flying

Posted: June 15, 2009 in Uncategorized

Friday night saw two Battle of Britain era dogfights, both consisting of four Me-109E4’s versus four Spitfire IA’s. Essentially we played one game and then switched sides. Game One saw our first mid-air collision; an Me-109 manuevered into firing position on a Spitfire, only to run into the Brit’s wingman. The wingman emerged with minor damage, but the skilled-rated German was killed by the impact. The first game ended as a British victory.

Game Two was a prolonged dogfight with much twisting and diving. One Spitfire was knocked down and two German planes were damaged. The leading pilot in terms of kills for the campaign is now Lt. Chard of my squadron, who got his third kill in this game.

Next campaign flying is scheduled for June 26 at 6:30 PM. New pilots are always welcome!
